Content and links.

The content of this site, including the white papers and the FAQ answers, sets out U-CIE’s analyses. It is intended as general information and in no way constitutes legal, financial or medical advice tailored to your situation.

The site may contain links to third-party sites. The publisher has no control over these sites and accepts no responsibility for their content.

Personal data and privacy.

This site collects as little data as possible. Simply reading the pages only gives rise to anonymous visit counts, described below in the Cookies section: no data that could identify you is kept, and no data is sold or transferred for commercial purposes.

Who has access to your data

Your data is processed only by U-CIE and by the technical service providers strictly necessary for it: Hostinger International Limited, which hosts the servers for the site and the forms; Google, whose Google Workspace email service receives the messages sent through the forms; and Mailjet, which delivers the newsletter emails.

Hostinger and Mailjet are established in the European Union, in Cyprus and France. Messages received by Google Workspace may be transferred to the United States: this transfer is governed by the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google LLC has signed up. No other data leaves the European Union.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict and object to its processing, and the right to data portability.

To unsubscribe from the newsletter, simply reply to any email with the word STOP. To exercise your other rights, please use the contact form. You will receive a reply within one month.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL), at cnil.fr.

Cookies.

This site uses no cookies.

That is why no banner asks for your consent.

Visits to the site are measured with Umami, an open-source tool installed on a server administered by U-CIE, at Hostinger. It sets no cookies, does not record your IP address and does not follow you from one site to another. The information collected is limited to counts: pages viewed, the site or search engine that brought you here, country, language and type of device. It cannot identify you, is not cross-referenced with any other processing and is passed on to no one. It is kept for eighteen months, then deleted. The fonts are hosted on the site itself: no request is sent to a third-party service to display them.

The server hosting this site also keeps a technical log of the requests it receives, which is necessary for it to work properly and securely. IP addresses are truncated before being written, which makes it impossible to trace them back to a person, and the log is kept for seven days.

Opting out of being counted

You can object to this measurement at any time. If your browser sends the ‘Do Not Track’ signal, it is respected and no visit is counted. You can also turn off measurement in this browser with the button below. This choice is simply noted in your browser, and only at your request; it is not passed on.

Applicable law.

This legal notice is governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable settlement, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.

This English version is a translation provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
